7:30am - doors open, book sales begin, early registration at back of Church.


8:00am Mass Doors will be closed during Mass. There will be Complimentary coffee and doughnuts in Fr Heuser Hall during and after Mass

 


9:00am – Opening remarks by Brent Towle


9:15am The Lamb's Supper: Each time we celebrate the Mass we enter into the heavenly liturgy which is so powerfully and beautifully described in the Book of Revelation.  Scott will help us to understand the Book of Revelation in the light of the Mass.


10:30am – break and Book sales


11:00am - Hail Holy Queen: Everything we know and believe about Mary is rooted in what we know and believe about her Son.  Scott will explain from Scripture why Mary, the Queen Mother, is an integral part of Christ’s kingdom.


12:00pm - lunch break (bag lunch’s available for sale for $5 - $7 each or bring your own)


1:15pm -Reasons to Believe: Dr. Hahn offers thoughtful, straightforward responses to common objections about the Catholic faith—unraveling mysteries and correcting misunderstandings. 


2:30pm - Q&A, book signing, wrap-up In Fr Hueser Hall? Or Back of Church?


4:30PM - Mass open to all

They will be offering:
Vegetarian Soup with chips and bottled water for $5.00
A choice of two wraps
Beef with mixed greens and gourmet  dressing, chips and bottled water
or
Turkey with mixed greens and gourmet dressing, chips and bottled water

Coffee, Soda and desserts will be available for sale as well.

Biography for Dr. Scott Hahn

Dr. Scott Hahn was born in 1957, has been married to Kimberly since 1979, and has six children—and four grandchildren. An exceptionally popular speaker and teacher, Dr. Hahn has delivered numerous talks nationally and internationally on a wide variety of topics talks related to Scripture and the Catholic faith.  Hundreds of these talks have been produced on audio and videotapes by St. Joseph Communications.  These tapes have been effective in helping thousands of Protestants and fallen away Catholics to (re)embrace the Catholic faith.


He is currently a Professor of Theology and Scripture at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he has taught since 1990, and is the founder and director of the Saint Paul Center for Biblical Theology. In 2005, he was appointed as the Pope Benedict XVI Chair of Biblical Theology and Liturgical Proclamation at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.


Author or co-author of more than 40 books, his newest titles include the Catholic Bible Dictionary; Kinship by Covenant; and Revelation—the final volume of the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible. In 2009, he will also publish Covenant and Communion as well as Signs of Life. Dr. Hahn has also written numerous articles in lay and academic publications.


Scott received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a triple-major in Theology, Philosophy and Economics from Grove City College, Pennsylvania, in 1979, his Masters of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 1982, and his Ph.D. in Biblical Theology from Marquette University in 1995.  Scott has ten years of youth and pastoral ministry experience in Protestant congregations (in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Massachusetts, Kansas and Virginia) and is a former Professor of Theology at Chesapeake Theological Seminary.  He was ordained in 1982 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Fairfax, Virginia.  He entered the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil, 1986.
